Seminar on Energy Audit: Sharing Experiences and Institutional Development of Energy Audit in Indone

Jakarta, 25 March, 2011 - The last day of the EECCHI Launching Week specifically discusses energy audit, sharing experiences in energy audit and institutional development of energy audit in Indonesia. The seminar which was attended by around 85 participants who anthusiastically discussed about the development of energy audit in Indonesia. Experiences of energy auditing and implementation of energy efficiency was shared by PT. Semen Tonasa and the Department of Mechanical Engineering from Universitas Indonesia. PT. Semen Tonasa who is the First Runner Up of the ASEAN Energy Award for the category Management Power was represented by Mr. Ridwan Purnomo as the Head of Engineering. While Universitas Indonesia was represented by Mr. Adi Surjosatyo.

The second session discussed about institutional development of energy audit in Indonesia and future steps that will be taken by the Government. Sharing of lessons learnt was opened by Ms. Naning Siti Adiningsing Adisowo as the Chairperson of the Green Building Council Indonesia, followed by a presentation on AEMAS Institutional Development (ASEAN Energy Management Scheme) by Mr. Bobby A. Wattimena as AEMAS Country Coordinator.

Regarding the steps that Indonesian government will partake to increase the capacity of energy auditors, Mr. Upik Jamil discussed training schemes and syllabus from the Training Center (Pusdiklat) on Electricity, New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation. Accreditation schemes to create a professional accreditation body for energy auditor that in the future will be implemented by National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) was explained by Mr. Surono as Head of Planning Commission and Development of BNSP.
